Oh no, not at all, just didn't want to seem arrogant with a short question... I just wonder how long I can postpone the purchase of à SSW in 5 mm... I had other priorities lately.

It's a great shame they only do an 8mm in the Plossl.  I'm looking for affordable quality, larger FOV, around 20mm or better eye relief, a good write up, no known faults etc., but I want an 8mm - this is the length that seems to hit a sweet spot in the telescope.  If the SLV were to come in a 8mm I'd have no doubt considered getting one.

Sorry to go off the Vixen topic everyone, but the closest to the above I can think of at an affordable price is the 8mm BST? Would 16mm ER do?

Hi Lockie, yes, that's the one I'm spending a lot of time looking at.  It gets regularly recommended on SGL.  I keep wondering if I'd do any better given the lack of other <£100 (ideally <£75 options in that size range).  That and I'm also looking into a dual speed focuser and am aware that I've spent more than I should already on a telescope that I get little opportunity to use!

NB.  The bank balance is actually very happy that they don't make a Baader Morpheus in that size!
