I thought Solar imaging was done in the warm?

Lovely clear blue skies this morning, so a quick detour on the way to work. I Should have grabbed some gloves!

Not my finest hour it has to be said. I thought I easily had time just about for a 12 pane mosaic, but the comedy of errors meant that was all I had time for. Wrong Barlow choice left me trying to work out why the image scale was so different from usual! When the penny finally dropped I had wasted the best part of 30 minutes!

I managed get 12 decent runs before work called. seeing was reasonable considering the Sun was quite low and it was breezy as well.

Unable to get ICE to stitch them tonight, so once again Autostitch came to the rescue! Not one of my best images its at least something from the freezing session this morning, I thought my fingers were going to fall off! Looks a bit "pasty" to be honest, not very evenly illuminated either and took a fair bit of effort just to get it stitched.

All that said it was still better than the 8 hours work that followed

I've had days where I seem to be just battling my own ineptitude! Good result though Pete. Glad I'm not the only one who was cold today, my son asked me if you get colder as you get older

Ice has not been working for me and my solar images, perhaps I will give autostitch a try, thanks for the suggestion!

Well done Pete, that has come out well. Yep work is a real pain sometimes.
