EARLY EVENING MOONRISE

good afternoon all

please find attached an image that i took of the moon just last week....

i'm quite pleased with it, except that there is a little shutter blur (sea gull), which is due to the fact that the light levels were low.

taken using a canon 40D and sigma 120-400mm lense.

ps. its been ages since i last posted any DSO pics......since getting married ive given up CCD images......so now i just do this kind of astro photography.

i do hope that all of u guys and gals are well tho....its great to be back!!

You did well with your timing to almost get the bird withing the lunar boundary.
Even so, it's a very fine result Bob. The setting sun certainly illuminated the bird.

Cripes, I didn't meant to delve into your health Bob,
but glad to know you are coping with it. Surprising how
modern medicine gets to grips with many ailments these days.
Here's to many more years of sky surfing anyway.
