Question about Lakeside Focuser Motor

Hi Everyone, 

I just purchased an additional motor for my lakeside and have given it a quick test with the control box using the manual setting.

I've noticed when I press the 'in' or 'out' button the motor shaft turns slowly for the first 20-30 steps then speeds up. It does this everytime I press the buttons even if I'm not changing direction.

I hadn't noticed this before. Is it normal?

Yes, designed that way   see here http://www.lakeside-astro.com/overview.html  When in manual mode....  It is so you can nudge focus easily, but go quicker if you have furtehr to travel
