Four Nights on Whirlpool

I'd like to present the outcome of four nights capture of the Whirlpool Galaxy. Integration time totals to more than 9 hours.

Looks great, the faint tails are well defined, and the colour is strong, but not overdone. Four nights well spent.

That is not a good image--not even a very good image--its a great image!  If you do a search of M51 you will be hard pressed to find a better example save, of course, for properly processed Hubble data.  I have performed such a search--your image is in the front of the pack

I agree with Rodd! You cannot do much better than what you have accomplished unless you have a space scope a million times costlier than your set up. In addition to your skills and  patience you must have been very lucky with that sky for four days.
