Looks like the hotels have realised that there's serious money to be made.....

We've got 7 nights in Seattle, 4 nights in Madras and 11 nights in Vegas and the 4 nights in Madras is the most expensive segment. And we'll be in an RV!

The usual rate for an RV where we're staying is $19 a night and they're hitting us for $150 a night.

Have to admit it's a hard pill to swallow. It's similar to peak holiday charges in the summer months when the kids are off school. At the end of the day it's the nature of supply and demand. The higher the demand while supply dwindles, the higher they will charge because, well, people will pay for it. Harsh I know.
