SteveBz
Hi Guys, It was very nice outside last night. Luna looking lovely but not too over-powering. I was testing out some modifications to my scope. This is the first time stacking has actually improved the image, not much but definitely improved. However, if you zoom in and look carefully, every crater has a double edge, it is in the unstacked images too. As the exposure time was only 1/200 secs, is that the result of mirror backlash in the DSLR? What can I do about it? Anyhow, here she is: Do you think I could have taken an even faster image, say 1/400 sec of the Western edge (Is the brighter side West, maybe it's East if you stand on the Moon's surface?) and woven it into the image to avoid the overexposure there? Comments and suggestions for improvement welcome. Regards Steve.
