Strange sky object

Hello there, at around 10pm tonight I went out somewhere with a friend in the car,

i noticed what looked like a star come out of the bright part of the moon , I pointed it out to my friend we pulled over and looked up and watched it fly across the sky then disappear, didn't fade out and there was no clouds. Went from as bright as Jupiter to nothing at all.

my description matches that of a shooting star I guess but I've never seen or heard of one coming out the moon? I also thought a shooting stars brightness fades as it dissapears? I checked online and couldn't find any showers happening tonight so I got curious and thought I would ask you guys for a rational explanation and see if any of you guys seen it?  Any idea what it was guys???

International Space Station ?

It was due to fly over at 10:00 pm tonight. Magnitude -3.3 so very bright !

The sudden fade out was due to it entering the Earths shadow.
