NGC 7000 Ha- first light SXVF-H9

Recommended Posts

Finally had a clear spell last night to have a go with my recently acquired SXVF-H9 (clouded out each time I got set up lately!) Did my first Ha image too because of the moon.

Ha (13nm Astronomik) SXVF-H9 on WOZS80IIED with WO x.8 flattener II (f5.4)

Guided with ZS66/QHY5/ PHD on EQ6Pro

5x 300sec + 8x 400sec captured with Nebulosity2, processed DSS/PSCS/Noel's actions.

Bit of a hasty process on this initial image.

Cheers

Mark

That's a very competent image, Mark - you've captured some great detail. Ain't Ha great stuff to collect?

Thanks very much guys!

Here's a version with the red boosted a bit- seems to enhance the detail if it's not too saturated.

I may get some RGB if the weather improves this week.

Hi Mark,

I just had to try False HA with Black Space from Noel Carbonis Astro Actions for PS..

Here's the result...

Hi Billy!

That's what I meant, I tried the Noel's actions colour effects and found them a bit too strong, I thought the subtle gradations got a bit lost.

Cheers

Mark
