Your computers RTC (real time clock) will deal with it... unless the BIOS battery* has died... and if you have an Apple MAC laptop**, (see photos below), and the main battery has not been used for a very long time and needs charging. Just goto 'System Preferences' (photo 1.) --> 'Date & Time' (photo 2.)

...then --> 'click the lock to make the changes' when you are connected to the internet, it will set the time automatically.

 

 

 

* if a PC desktop the BIOS  battery will be the button cell on the motherboard. If it is a PC laptop it will or may be either under the keyboard or the underside of the case, either with or without wires to attach to the motherboard.

** as far as I know Apple MAC laptops do not have a BIOS battery as they rely on the main battery. Not sure about Apple MAC desktops though.
