its cloudy and I need something to do.

so show us your best shots or sketches of Copernicus and area. please include kit ect. seasoned or new, pro or casual to the hobby all is welcome.

heres 2 of mine, taken on 10-11-16 with AR127L and asi120mc ,HEQ5, for wide and added 2x barlow for close up . thanks for looking, charl.

A-focal can be a good compromise between webcam and DSLR

Great idea Charles,

Here is my input, a bit offset, highlighting ray structure, Eratosthenes to the left of it, with Mons Wolf mountains. 

It is apart of the mountain range Montes Apenninnus.

great shots Tyson, lovely close up detail mate, it sure is a interesting area of the moon. had to do something astro today these clouds are driving me nuts, I havnt had good clear patch for what seams like ages.  thanks , charl.

Tell me about it. Good sessions are few and far between for me.

 

My last clear night on a weekend with average conditions was Jan 20th 2017 roughly.  Hence why I got myself a GnG set up to just get out more, with intermittent cloud cover.

Copernicus is a favourite of mine and always makes a good target. Here  are a couple of images showing very different views.
