RVO avertise a SW Spares section: http://www.rothervalleyoptics.co.uk/skywatcher-spares.html

But it all appears to be EQ and AZ goto mounts and electronics at that. Guess it may be a question to OVL, who import the equipment. But they prefer you to go via a retailer - less hassle to them. So if you go that route pick a retailer that will follow it all through.

What is the bearing? Numbers marked somewhere as with that you may be able to search out the bearing then find out if it comes with a rubberas standard or optional. Very likely a standard off the shelf item but it is know which item and a suitable source.

The bearing itself is ok, it's just the rubber that's sliding off each time it's in use. doesn't really affect it, just annoying.

Is it possible to reglue the rubber block back onto the bearing ?

The rubber seems to be perishing and mis-shapening (is that an actual word) I have emailed Skywatcher directly to see what they can offer :)

OVL, or your favourite Skywatcher dealer should be able to help you. Skywatcher are an international company so might only refer you back to the local importer or dealer.

David,

I have just had a look at the two bearings on my Skywatcher 250p. The rubber is certainly showing signs of early-stage age decomposition. The rubber seems to be a fairly thin sleeve, over the main metallic structure, and the outer diameter was 23.5mm. It looks as though the existing rubber could be replaced by 25mm/1" black heat-shrink sleeve, and a bit of hot air. It will be important to keep the outer diameter close to the 23.5mm, otherwise the Alt axis will not remain perpendicular to the Az.
