Some lovely detail and great composition Dave especially the Orion Nebula.

Possibly some histogram balancing needed  just to get the star colours 'right' to my ( very  ) untrained and newbie eye? ( I say this having not taken a successful AP yet so treat with the contempt it may deserve ?)

These were shot with a modded 600D (filter completely removed) so original image is completely red, still learning how to balance colour and minimise star bloat. Probably need to get a UV clip filter but I am open to suggestions.

Great to see what can be achieved with a DSLR. If my, after a bit of practice, my AP's are only half as good I'll be well pleased. A long way to go ( and lots of learning ) before I get to that level though. I have not dissimilar kit so you have set the bench mark for me to aim at. Top shooting.
