Venus pseudo-mono vs. colour 15-3-17 (ASI290MC)

And yet another Venus crescent I managed to squeeze in today.  The Sun was still well up so pretty much full daylight but the contrails were rampant tonight so seeing was poor compared to yesterday.  This time I did two separate captures, one in normal RGB colour mode and the second with the addition of an IR pass filter essentially converting the camera into a pseudo-mono.  This is not a 'which is best post'; the benefits of using the IR pass to cut through the seeing conditions and pick out the 'horns' are very obvious.  Both captures were around an 18% stack of 10,000frames in AS!2.  There was slight RGB channel alignment required in registax too.  Taken through my C9.25 native at f/10.

Venus: mag -4.3; apparent size 56.9" and 4.3% illuminated.

Very nice Chris, thanks for the view, it's got too low behind the rooftops from my garden now.

Looking on the bright side Jupiter has dragged itself up from behind the rooftops in the other direction
