External Battery for my Canon 60D

Found unused laptop battery and though I can use it to power-up my Canon 60D.

How many volts??? Li-Ion cells are 3.7v each, so multiply by 4 = 16.4v when fully charged. Good luck with that!

This might be dangerous.

You don't want these batteries to short-out. Be careful in the open. It might start to rain. Be careful indoors. Someone with a glass of beer in is hand might trip and spill his beer over your power contraption.

Thanks for the caution. I'm gonna use pvc heat shrink for protection.

It might be worth explaining your build when you post photos because others might not be as intelligent as you, and just think that you have 4 x 3.7v batteries stuck together.

My 60D came already bundled in the box with a mains adaptor which was very useful.
