Anyone using SGP with Hypercam IMX178?

I'm having issues using the Hypercam IMX178 with SGP on USB 3.0 ports. It won't download the images but times out. It does work fine on USB 2 and, as I'm not shooting video, it should be ok (although as I am guiding at 1sec intervals on the same port it might be an issue with short subs). I was wondering if anyone is successfully running the Hypercam IMX178 on SGP on USB 3.0

Why are you using a guide camera to image AND guide? Surely, the camera should be used for one of the other, not both!!

Unless it has TWO CCD's inside, which I cannot find!

Sorry - I'm not. I use a Altair GPCAM2 for guiding. It's a USB 2.0 cam so, using a USB hub, it's on the same port.
