Stargazing Live Event Run by Guildford AS - 1st April '17

 Guildford AS will be holding one of our well known free outreach stargazing events on Saturday 1st April 2017. This will follow hard on the heels of BBC Stargazing Live which is broadcast 29-30 March.  The event is at Newlands Corner, a beauty spot managed by Surrey Wildlife Trust and far enough outside of Guildford's light pollution for some reasonably dark skies.  Newlands Corner is at Drove Rd, just off Shere Rd, Guildford GU4 8SE and we'll be there from 7 pm to 10 pm, and probably later.  You're welcome to join us as a visitor or better still as a participant by brining a scope, or just generally helping out, answering astronomical questions from the public, etc.  We'll have hot drinks, videos, displays and possibly a talk in the Visitor Centre. Very well attended and organised  event. Any thoughts about a solar one in the summer (you didnoje down at the Uni several years back)?
