EQMOD and xbox wired joystick

Hi all - I just got a EQ6 - and loving it. Playing with EQMOD  (is it now called EQASCAP? )  anyway

I'm trying to get the joystick control to work.  Everything else works great.  The EQMOD has a gamepad configuration box. 

I click the setup icon and it doesn't see my joystick. tried AUTO and gamepad 2  (which is it). how do I know that?

because EQMOD little utility called  Gamepad Montor  (DOES WORK) shows my controller reading and says  "2" unNamed gamepad.   (out of 2 3 and 4)

The monitor works great. But the gamepad configuration and intialize in EQMOD setup doesn't see it?

did you wiggle buttons on gamepad to calibrate

yes - tried to calibrate - they do show wiggle on the gampad monitor. as I said - but EQMOD doesn't see any movement.

chris shillito is the man to ask he is on here or try the yahoo eqmod group usually threads on there regarding eqmod issues
