M31 - Megrez/EQ5/350D CLS+VH1

1 x each of 62, 62, 61, 143, 121, 121, 124, 122, 129, 183, 185, 181, 184, 190 seconds at 1600asa

and

1 x each of 123, 129, 122, 123, 123, 124 seconds at 800asa

all stacked together in Registax and fiddled with in photoshop

as allways comments welcome.

Coming together nice Alan , some dust lanes are very visible there , i always find the top right hand part is always hard to pull out , but its a good image mate , thats no easy target to get , so a huge well done on that ,

Darn ya beat me to it james i just had that done as well ehehehhehe , ojh well u done agood job as usual ,

Hi Alan,

I opened ya image up in Photoshop then processed each RGB channel to get an even balance whilst retaining the details. Editing each RGB channel helps greatly with DSO/PLANETRY images i find. After this i altered the noise levels using a mix of guass blur(1.5%) and despeckle...

It's a little green i think, i'll have another go in a moment Alan...

Do you have Photoshop at all?

Yeah, photoshop 7.0, so much to learn about it spend most of my time trying to work out what bits I should be really focusing on for adjusting astroimages.

Photoshop 7 it's a great piece of software Alan, best advice is to experiment really using the Noise Filters,Unsharp Mask Filters and playing with the histogram(RGB).

This image i just lowered the Green channel a touch and altered the Green Saturation too.
