Aug 2017 solar eclipse in the usa

Hello Does anyone know where the best place to view this spectacle will be in the USA, I know it sweeps across the states but is there a preferred place to view and hopefully photograph it?

Any where along the line is sufficient, but the closer in the better.

I will be in Orin, Wyoming. The duration will be a few seconds shorter than maximum duration, but the chances of good weather are much better. Besides, a good friend lives fairly close by (Longmont, Colorado, a 2-3 hr drive away). All accommodation in the area is booked solid, I believe.

I am going to St Louis and going south on the day it is about 2 seconds short of the maximum time of 2:40 but as said before hand any where on the track should be good, subject to weather of course!  This eclipse is the follow up to the one in Cornwall back in 1999, part of the same Saros and my first eclipsed viewed from the cloudy skies of Torbay.
