Baader U (Venus) filter and Continuum filter

When I bought my Baader U filter, I thought I remembered that it contained the Ca-K part of the spectrum. Looking at the box I am not sure it does.

Not sure what benefit the first image is, which is taken with the Baader U filter + a ND3.5 filter. The second is with the Baader Continuum filter.

I haven't added any false colour to either because I just wanted to see what peoples opinions of them were. Both images were with my ED80, dodging the clouds like everyone else!

There's a noticeable difference in the surface texture between the two images. The U filter is showing a different view.

Definitely worth doing, it certainly looks almost like Ca-K
