astroavani
This photo shows one of the most known formations of the Moon, in it we can see a Rupes and a Rhyme. There is another Rhyme barely visible and difficult to capture that originates apparently from the upper wall of Rupes and is marked on the square. The question is: Besides the name of the two main formations here highlighted what is the fundamental difference between a Rhyme and a Rupes?
Ruud
A rupes is a cliff, a rima is a crack. Here I think we have Rupes Recta and Rima Birt Staff is very content and has decided that from now on your membership is free! Congratulations! (I made my answer red-on-red. Select it if you want to see I'm right.) Well done, Avani! Edited February 21, 2017 by Ruud
RichM63
clearly I'm not Staff, but sadly "whilst the little dog laughed and the cow was running away with the spoon, they all fell off the edge of the cliff.
