Visual filter wheel setup

Just been fiddling around with this for a little while it now works very well in the Tak which has plenty of inwards focus. I tried it last night in the Vixen f9 but even with the spacers removed it would not come to focus. I'll try it again after I replace the focuser with a FeatherTouch.

Anyway, I got the wheel for a good price from AstroBoot, and am using it with a Zeiss T2 Prism and a clicklock 1.25" adaptor. I also have a T2 changer in the mix to allow me to position the filter wheel at a convenient angle. In the wheel I have a Baader Neodymium, Explore Scientific UHC and OIII, then a Televue Mars A and B filter. Nice to be able to flip between them quickly whilst keeping focus and the object centred.

That looks like a great idea. Being able to bring a filter in or out of the optical train without risk of losing the object would be very helpful.
