Telescope tube

Hi

I want some telescope tube off around 400mm diameter  for my 14" mirrors

Has anybody got any ideas where I could get this sort of stuff from

I used tubes rolled from thin galvanised sheet by a local dust/ventilation control company. Unfortunately the machines are commonly only 4 foot wide so the longest tube is 4 ft. There might be some companies that can roll longer tubes.  The alternative is to bond two tubes together to get the length you require.

Another source of tubes are the cardboard tubes for forming concrete pillars, as used by the likes of MEADE, here's one source:

You would need to thoroughly waterproof such tubes.
