Cornelius Varley
In CdC go to the Setup menu then the Solar System. submenu. Select the comet tab and then the Load MPC file tab. Select the Load MPC file format option and then click on the download button. This should update the comet list.

Dave In Vermont
And for anyone else out there hunting this 'bob-tailed' comet, aka 45P-Honda-Markos-Pajdusakova, here's a little map: Seems to have lost it's tail. But it's a very green-coloured 'blob' among the stars. Dave

Mine is a Mac version so it may be different. Is there an option for updates? I can't seem to find it if is there!
brrttpaul
I had it on stellarium by typing in the searc 45P (it autofilled underneath as I wrote it) and it just came up

Make sure that is enabled, and from within there you can download asteroid and comet data.
Sierra Golf Mike
I have downloaded the latest version and the same problem, I click Plug-ins, select Solar System Editor but the configure button is disabled?
Dave In Vermont
This shows Stellarium has Solar System Editor enabled at Startup: And the data for comets has 45P available, which I highlighted: And the result of a simple: 'Search:' And thar she blows! I'm running 0.15.1 Happy hunting - Dave
MattJenko
You enable it, by clicking the checkbox, and then restart Stellarium and the configure button should be enabled.
