Polar alignment help!

Ok,help needed, can't get my head around this. 

Heq5 pro - the manual says to remove caps from upper and lower ends of right ascension axis. Ok I've removed front one, but back is showing to unscrew the dome piece in the picture, but it won't move! What am I doing wrong?

It can be a bit still, by that rear dome does unscrew........

It does come off, I assure you

Righty tighty, lefty loosen.

If its still a little stiff, wear some rubber gloves to get a better grip on it.

Now do the same thing on your telescope and it should work

Still use some sort of rubber kitchen gloves to grip the barrel of the dome piece, but wrap a quite hot, slightly dampened cloth round it near the threaded end for a few minutes, before attempting to unscrewing it

Thanks all, i've left the challenge for hubby while i'm at work today - hopefully with his strength (or brute force) it will come off and i can actually use the thing
