Lunar craters Hahn & Berosus 13-01-17

Poor seeing ruins a sketch just the same as a photograph and here's the proof

These lovely two craters were right on the terminator with Gauss nearby in the shadows making a big dent, but the seeing really was poor with lots of wobbling and phasing, but I wanted a sketch so here's the embarressing result.

The observation was made in the 102 refractor and don't ask about orientation as I haven't clue. I appear to have been set up at a very strange angle!

Good effort to get a sketch in those conditions. It was lousy seeing here too. The best view I had was at a modest 80x following some of the rays across the surface. Much above that and it just wouldnt come into focus.

It's not that bad John. Bad seeing really does make sketching problematic. I have a sketch done when the seeing was very poor. I tried to identify the craters. I knew where they were on the Moon, but there is nothing that remotely looks like my sketch.
