Budget Porros: Helios Naturesport / Bushnell Legacy / Bushnell Natureview

Seems you have binoculars but in an earlier post you asked about the Bushnell Natureview Roof's. I hava a set of 8x42 roof prism and very pleased with them. Optics are very good and they appear light in weight. Wish I had purchased the 10x42 as well but I didn't at the time.

Also have the Bushnell H2O's, nice and short to keep in the car. The Natureviews appear lighter in weight then the H2O's, Bushnel mainly say they are heavier. Weights seem to oscillate.

I think every review on the Natureviews said they are very good optically, and from my set I have to agree, the big laugh was the objective covers they supplied. They have changed them now.

thanks!

Regrettably, I've now returned those Helios Natursports 8x40 because the view felt awkward and not quite as sharp as they should be (even though the full circular image was visible). Did some extensive digging online and finally found this review, which confirmed my own measurements of 59mm minimum IPD (my pupils are 57mm apart). Shame Helios don't state it, as it would have saved time and bother:

I've now ordered a pair of Pentax SP 8x40 WP at a keen price, which supposedly are about 56mm. Fingers crossed they work for me!
