That was a very nice picture that you posted last night, very well composed and brings out the texture in the lawn area very nicely. Captured just at the right time too to show off the hint of blades of grass about to receive their covering. The differential focus combined with the highlights in the snow flakes gives a real sense of depth to the scene, dont you think.
The selective use of black level clamp also suggests a feeling of "unknown" beyond, lending a sense of anticipation to the composition.
The small pup light to the left to add a touch of colour to those few flakes of snow with the spotlight highlighting the important building, shows a mastery of the photographic technique.

An excelent effort and we could all learn a lot by studying the camera work displayed here.

They'll sigma out, those snowflakes. Flats should deal with snow on the lens.
