Electronic focussing with a Fastar/Hyperstar system?

I am 'thinking about' a C8 (or similar) with a fastar/hyperstar system. I would have to use an OSC camera as I understand that I cant use a filter wheel as it would obstruct.

Is it possible to use a Moonlite electronic/stepper motor to focus this setup ?  I understand that focus is supercritical at f2 and its a remote setup so if I cant focus remotely then this is a deal breaker.

I understand that the fastar/hyperstar route is far from plug and play and that it can be a rocky road but I am just starting to find out more about it - imaging at f2 sounds too attractive not to research it!

Any comments / advice welcomed.

I would have thought you were up to making a diy focuser, tekkydave here is a good read ;-)

Id look into the info on your particular scope as there is a prob on some models not having enough strength to the corrector plate..yes f2 is appealing..
