A new presentation of lunar pictures....... in 3D.

My friend Alain Paillou offered me for the new year 3D views of some of my high resolution images.
The technique used is that of georeferencing from the height data retrieved by stereoscopy by LRO and Kaguya. As Google Earth for Earth.
This opens new possibilities in the presentation of our images.
It's a big job from specialized software but the results are worth it.
I begin to master them and have a lot of exploitable images.
If these are caught vertically we can make 3D images from all directions, otherwise we must focus on the angle of the shot because on the other side there will be no filling.

Some examples of his work :

If you have glasses for anaglyphs :

I agree this is very impressive!!!

Shame its not available as software that I could use. Although I doubt my hi res shots would be good enough!

Please share more if you get some.

Never tire of looking at Moon Pics.  and especially quality stuff like this.
That oblique view of Plato is something else.
Don't know what software has been used on these, but I bet it's pricey .

Well that surprised my eyes. Didn't quite expect that. Plato almost looks 3D as is. On the bottom image.

But that Copernicus has really taken to the technique well. Showing immense depth.

Do you think the software will be available for others to try at any point in the future  ?

Thanks for sharing this Luc. Your images already have surprised me a lot. But this technique looks made for them. Just astounding
