Thumb Nut Thread Size

Hi Celestron Nexstar 8SE Tripod, anybody know the thread size of the Leg Brace/Accessory Tray, centre rod/thumb nut and possible supplier.......Thanks

I wanted the dec axis bolt for a meade etx I used an app on phone called thread pitch (free) got the size from that, then just searched ebay for a knurled thumb screw that size. 99p sorted

The 8se nut and cast alloy tray are identical to that used on the EQ-5 and AZ-4. I had to replace the nut on a used EQ-5 and got a wing-nut from the local ironmonger. I'm pretty sure it was a M12.

On the subject of the trays - they can be found separately, or you can easily make a plain replacement out of chipboard.
