DSS Problem

I've figured out how to get DSS on mac, but it isn't working properly. When I load all my images in and register checked pictures, it lets me compute the amount of detected stars. When I run this, I get nearly 62,000 stars. Even at one percent of detected stars, there are way too many to stack. It would take over 5 hours to finish stacking with this many stars. It is obviously counting hot pixels as stars, any ideas as to how I can fix this?

Increase the star threshold to say 30% and try that. You can check before you stack how many stars are detected on the Advanced tab and compute number of stars.

As above..use the slider and compute the stars..if too many raise the percentage higher
