groups in the swansea area?

Hi guys, i`m new to this forum and to astronomy as a whole but would like to know if there are any groups nearer to Swansea. Blaenavon is a bit of a trek for me, it`s doable but wouldn't be able to do it often.

Swansea astronomical society have a star party at the water front museum swansea this Friday at 7pm. and next month at the botanical gardens. I am going along on friday to see what they are about. Like you I am new on here and just getting back into astronomy after a long absence due to work, life, wife, money. No work now, and come to think of it no life either, and no money! but a beautiful wife.

I might meet you there next month - I'm just awaiting delivery of my new Nexstar 5ES (very excited I am!) which should arrive tomorrow.  I won't make the Star Party on Friday as I'd like a little bit of time to get to know it before making a prat of myself in public.  It would be nice to know I wouldn't be the only newbie going next month . . . .

I am not taking a scope Friday, (scopeless right now) just going along to see what they are about, the forecast is awful as expected.
