Ash2020
Hi all. I have just decided to sell my Meade ETX90, (I was never desperately impressed) and have decided on a Celestron C5 and an EQ5 Synscan mount for my next adventure. The C5 because we have occasionally some wonderful birds (flocks of Goldfinches, 5 Jays and a Sea Eagle) and very dark skies for stargazing (West of Scotland, no street lamps). However, the clear skies are very rare so it'll probably be more terrestrial than astronomical. I have a Vixen Polarie for wide field AP so I'm hoping to do a bit of DSO photography with the EQ5. Cameras are a Canon 550D and an astro modified 500D. Any comments or advice? Is it a good combo? Thanks. Andrew
