Hello, I'm in Carmarthenshire. As to clubs etc, there' are clubs in Swansea, Bridgend and Cardiff. I belong to Swansea astronomy society. If you're interested, we have a star party at the National Waterfront Museum on 13 Jan. There are usually talks and members bring some telescopes. Details on the website under public events. Just search under swanastro.
