First night off from work that's clear in ages. Got some new 8x56 binos. Gonna spot some clusters I reckon. Bloomin' cold though, I'll take some gloves I reckon

Did you by any chance take shelter in one of the sheds. Maybe you would like to tell us what you managed to see later on, it was very cold and windy here too.

Just trying to remember where the good things are. Think I managed to eek out m65/66. Didn't realise they were so faint! Saw some of the usual classics as well. Beehive, m81/82, m67, double cluster, m35, Orion Nebula. Not sure whether I was seeing the whirlpool galaxy too.
