SkyWatcher 150p unable to view Mars..?

When I had my 150 and Mars was closer I observed the polar ice caps on it, it was particularly good viewing.

Just the OTA in the bag, the mount in a flight case from Maplin and the tripod wrapped in an old blanket. When I only had the original eyepieces I kept those in the end pocket of the bag in their boxes but as I have now added to the collection I use another flight bag.

Sounds like a plan... I will take a look at this option  Thanks!
