I'd be more interested in using a wide-field eyepiece to see it's full size. You could try a Barlow for yourself and see if you think it's helping you see more detail - but you'll never be able to see individual stars. It's way, way too far away for that.

But this is a good opportunity to learn about how different field-of-view (F.O.V. or FOV) eyepieces work and can aid one's observing. People often are led to believe that more power is the answer to everything (and not just in astronomy!). But the truth is often quite different.
