Getting back to the parts list.  There's a couple of things that I left out...

Here's the ammeter and volt meter that I have on the side (This is the one that I'd move to the front)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300V-50A-DC-Car-Dual-Voltmeter-Ammeter-LED-Display-Amp-Volt-Meter-12V-Shunt-TE72-/272204962672?hash=item3f60ae1b70:g:tpwAAOSwH6lXQqtx

The thing to double check is that both parts of the display are red.

This is the battery meter that I added

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-Lead-Acid-Battery-Status-Indicator-Capacity-Dual-LED-Display-Tester-Meter-SP/201678266003?_trksid=p2045573.c100505.m3226&_trkparms=aid%3D555014%26algo%3DPL.DEFAULT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D38661%26meid%3D40aca14a11e54af081009cdd36e893b3%26pid%3D100505%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26

And finally, you'll need 3 single pole single throw switches.

As for the cable itself.   I used something like this.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6mm-Thinwall-Tinned-Cable-50-Amp-84-0-30-Auto-Marine-All-Lengths-and-Colours-/321407195097?var=510281976837&hash=item4ad55c97d9:m:mi2LeeEkP7B0ukaru2D0cCQ

I got 10 meters of Red and 10 meters of black.   There was some left over, but you'd be surprised how much you go through.

Can I add if the battery is in the box put some vent hole in  to let the battery gas out as you have to things in the same place  fire.

I take the lid off the box when charging.  This allows the gas to escape.  Also, where I've cut holes. I didn't make them water tight, so there will be some air leakage - not much though.

Gas build up could be a concert if I didn't take the lid off when charging.  Would be nice to be able to connect a vent on the battery to a pipe that went out of the box.  However my battery has no such device on it.

Send me a PM if and when you are ready to do it.  Parts gathering took me a while.   But if you skip out on the jump start poles that I put in (which really are overkill) should be much easier to source all the bits that you need.
