M16+IC4703 (Eagle Nebula) sketch

Hi All,

I've always been more into what I see at the ep, rather than imaging, so I've been sketching DSO's now for about 18months.

I'm particularly proud of this one as it took me about 2.5 hours over two nights. I did the star field first on the night of 2-3 August and the faint nebulosity last night (4th) between gaps in the clouds. Adding to the difficulty was the fact that M16 was only just over my house as seen from my backyard.

Using Nexstar 11GPS

Limiting mag ~4.8

Seeing: III

Transparency: Moderate

Magnification x104

Filters: None for star field, OIII for nebulosity

I've scanned the sketch, so I hope the nebula comes out ok?!! I've included the negative (or is it positive, Im never sure) as well.
