Walking on the Moon

Back to lunar imaging

After a hiatus of 2 years (is it really is that long?), I've returned to lunar imaging.  Last night I managed to get a couple of reasonable images wrinkle ridges in Mare Humorum and Mare Imbrium.  Both shots taken with DMK 21 AU618 camera with Red filter though my venerable old 8" LX200.

I've enjoyed comparing the finer detail in your Mare Humorum with one I took last night through my 8" dob. Appreciate both your scope and camera are in a different league, but it's still inspired me to try to improve on my first effort.

Please could you tell me how yours was taken and/or processed? Was it a single exposure, stacked, tracked, how long, etc?

Regards,

Matt

Best 200 frames from 3000 frame video, aligned and stacked in Autostakkert!, then slight curves and levels adjustment and sharpened using the 'Focus magic' plug-in in Photoshop CS5
