SW synscan FIRMWARE V3.39.03, V4.39.03

This new SynScan Hand Controller firmware release is an update from the previous SynScan Firmware Version 03.38.09.

What's new in this update?

1. A "Solar Track Mode" is added in the UTILITY menu.
   To use this new function:
   1) Polar align the equatorial mount or level the base of the Alt-Az mount.
   2) Finish the initialization on SynScan. No alignment is needed.
   3) Activate "Solar Track Mode." Now the mount will start working at solar tracking speed until exiting the "Solar Track Mode".
   4) Center the Sun in FOV with SynScan hand controller.
   5) Start observing.
   Warning: Your telescope must be capable of observing the Sun safely.

2. Optimize the procedure of restoring from Parking.

3. Fix minor bugs.

yepp, I'll upgrade my V3.38.09 tonight too. Had it for a couple months, no issues discovered. Still fixing the minor bugs are very welcome.

Is this just for the EQ Goto mounts only, or for the AZ Star Discovery Goto mount as well? Think not as there is a an option to track in sidereal, lunar or solar mode already.

It looks like the same firmware for both EQ and AZ Goto,  I'm under impression it's like this since some versions back.

Knighty, all synscan firmware updates now act for AZ and EQ mounts, it's one thing for everything. You used to have updates for AZ handsets and other updates for EQ handsets, and those handsets would only work on the relevant mounts. Now the handsets, if updated to the latest version of the firmware, can be plugged into any mount and they will detect what the mount is and give you the appropriate ob screen options.

I think is 03 for version 3 Synscan handsets and 04 for Version 4 handsets. The latest V4 firmware already has Solar tracking.
