China's "24 Solar Terms"

The Chinese 24 Solar Terms are an ancient calendar system which relates astronomy to agriculture, and which reached its present form in the Western Han Dynasty, 206BC to 24AD. The Calendar spread with minor variations to much of Far East Asia.

Recently, on the 1st December, the UNESCO placed the 24 Solar Terms on its List of Intangible World Heritage.
