Pete Presland

First Jupiter of the new season in poor conditions 29.11.2016

Recommended Posts

Up at 4am to catch Jupiter on Thursday morning. The seeing wasn't great, but when you get up at that time its the point of no return :icon_biggrin: Pleased to see the GRS on display and nicely positioned later in the session.

Taken with the C9.25/ASI120mm combo, with a Televue x1.8 Barlow. 150secs per RGB channel, stacked in A/S2, de-rotated in Winjupos.

Not a great image by any means, but nice to get an image under the belt, even if it just blows off the processing cobwebs!

Good start Pete.  It's certainly great to have Jupiter back in the sky.

Good to see you went past the point of no return Pete, you've inspired me to get up and have a look myself in the morning.
