Binocular Sky Newsletter, December2016

Recommended Posts

The latest edition of the Binocular Sky Newsletter is ready. It's back to normal this month and, in addition to the usual overview of DSOs, variable and double stars, we have:

    * Several lunar occultations including one of Aldebaran, plus a couple of grazes
    * Uranus, Neptune, a dwarf planet and an SSSB
    * An asteroid occultation of a mag 6.2 star (Scotland and Ireland)
    * A mini-review of the Oberwerk Ultra 10x50 binocular

To grab your (free!) copy, or to subscribe (also free) and receive it monthly, please go to http://binocularsky.com and click on the 'Newsletter' tab. I hope you find it useful.

Just realised: it's 5 years old today!:hello2:

It might be worth adding to the newsletter Steve -  Comet Nowise, a newish discovery. It looks like it will be a good binocular object by Christmas.

Thanks - I'll keep an eye on observation reports. Currently being reported at mag +12 (BAA comets page)
