So much fun tonight!!!

I'm just in to thaw my feet out a bit and have a cup of tea before going back out for a last half and hour or so, but it is just lovely out there night.  I think I'm in love with my new Tak fc100   - haven't had this much fun observing in ages.  Simplicity: alt az mount, frac, stool, telrad and book (and lots of warm layers!!  Just being a tourist and loving it!

Same here! Spent most of the evening with the big Dob being frustrated by milky moisture laden air. My ED80 was all set up on a simple sky T. So I poped in a 20mm 100° eyepiece and went for a play. No need for a finder. What fun indeed.

Sounds like a cracking night, Helen.  Lots of fun here, too.  The sky got more transparent as the night progressed although big day at work today meant a half-sensible midnight finish.  Looking forward to seeing your write-up!

They do sound like a very special telescope, top optics. In the cold here I wear walking boots with yeti gatters over the top, thick socks too of course.
