tomato
I caught the tail end of a feature on BBC CountryFile tonight about a guy composing pictures from flashes of light. He had a CLEAR SKY in the Brecon Beacons and promptly started flashing a light on and off. I guess he couldn't help the night the film crew turned up but I hope he sticks to astrophotography if he turns up at a dark site next to me! jabeoo1
I saw this too. Reminded me of what Picasso did years before:
nytecam
Yes - a classic way the media treat a truly dark sky by flooding it with essential camera lights to show a guy light painting - even presenter Matt Baker briefly realised the sky had stars before swamped with a waving torchlight of the "artist" - it had all the subtlety of misplaced fireworks display - sigh Nytecam
Dave Lloyd
Not everyone feels as we do. All we can do is keep reminding people what's there above their heads if only they would see.... Yeah, I know clouds usually but still...
Ouroboros
I saw that item too. Fortunately his lights are not going to make much difference to sky darkness. Even so, it's hardly the point of a dark sky area is it?
