LRGB Processing Tutorial

I am thinking about moving from DSLR (RGB) imaging to CCD (LRGB).  In preparation, could somebody please point me towards some decent How-To type tutorials on processing LRGB images - preferably more of an idiots guide level (written) and video, if available.

For videos it more down to what paint program you are going to use.  like if you going to use PI them look up Harry Page on here.
