My First Pic

Hi guys

As some of you helped me a lot with advice on equipment I wanted to share my first picture of Andromeda galaxy to see what people think. It's not guided so it was with 5 minute subs and 1 dark.

No not modded the camera I mean. The picture I processed in Lightroom. 

Yes definitly a big smile! It was 35 minutes of exposure. No guiding.

Im so far tried 7 minute subs no guiding but if you look closely the stars are a tiny bit mishapened but I get it on the shorter exposures too. Maybe I'll check the collimation next time plus the baader coma corrector which I haven't measured from the camera sensor.

Thanks a lot. Still a long way to go but it's a good start. I would like to try the M33 next but not sure in exposures.

First thougts? That's so much better than anything I've ever managed! Must have a crack with the 130PDS - if I can get half as good as that I'll be well chuffed.

Maybe it's more to do with good skies. We live in Italy in the hills. 

Thanks for the compliment. I'm not happy with the stars though but I have a coma corrector but it could be the collimation being out because it happened on the shorter exposures too.

Sorry It was 7 minutes unguided but 35 minutes of exposure. No Autoguider yet but I'm interested to see how long I can go without.
